Hey folks!

This week we’re thrilled to be attending the ultimate silent film extravaganza: Le Giornate del Cinema Muto!

While we’re busy gathering notes and quotes and nifty new insights for you, here’s a little on what you can look forward to:

So far we’ve been hanging with some (not so silent) “Nasty Women” (read: hilariously diabolical) and enjoying some candid footage of Victorians in 68mm.  Plus, we’re relearning everything we thought we knew about Pola Negri (and we’re very happy about this!)

Plus plus, we’ve (literally) got front row seats for a great week of Collegium sessions. With presentations on such hot topics as: “The forensic & filmographic identification of early film” and The “Material Properties of Early Film Colours in the Digital Age” we’ve got the low-down on some serious issues facing early film identification  (and some potential solutions too! 😉)

And that’s right – we’re just getting started..
