The Peeping Archivist is a blog dedicated to the dynamic world of moving image archiving. Written by archivists for archivists, it intends to bring together a broad set of knowledge, ideas and resources to help advance the field of audio-visual preservation.
The Peeping Archivist aims to serve the online community of moving archivists through the following objectives:
- Promote new perspectives and commentary by featuring reviews, personal essays and professional reflections focused on the acquisition, collection, preservation, restoration and presentation of moving image materials.
- Establish a clear and consistent database for moving image archivists to keep abreast to new projects, developments and opportunities across the globe, thus strengthening the links between professionals in our field.
As members of a discipline that is constantly evolving in its technology and methodologies and facing new logistical and theoretical challenges, we hope that our fellow Peepers will find this blog both informative and inspiring.
